Having a kid will mellow you out!
Just last night I was in my car with my daughter singing along to the Curious George CD (Jack Johnson and really catchy!). It really hit me just how mellow I am compared to how I was five or six years ago. The person that I was then would never be able to see myself singing along to Jack Johnson, much less the curious George CD. As a parent, how many others find themselves singing songs from their kid's cartoons? What happened to me?!? Whatever the case might be, I don't care! I'm thinking this life is much more fun. Of course I've been sleep deprived for years now so I wouldn't remember! :)

My kids choose to listen to the songs that I try to get out of my head. But yes, I am more mellowed out in my own music style. I don't listen to as much techno.

Yep... I went from a fun-loving, always traveling person that never watched cartoons as a kid to someone that knew every Barney song imaginable. It's funny how we imagine our lives in the future, they tend to end up nothing like we imagined. But in our cases it's all for the better. ;)
